Katrin Davidsdottir Q&A
What is your favorite color?
I LOVED this year’s Games color, electric peach, but white is also a favorite and seems to be a color I go for a lot.
Who is your favorite athlete?
At the moment I am a little hooked on Ronda Rousey - such a badass! My favorite thing about her though is her positive influence on body image for young girls - putting emphasis on the function of her body rather than image or weight. #BeautyInStrength
What’s your favorite meal?
BREAKFAST! I could eat breakfast for all meals of the day - My favorite is an omelet with spinach, broccoli, feta cheese & avocado with fresh squeezed orange juice! But most often it is just three eggs & 1/2 an avocado with some fruit.
What’s your favorite movie?
"Good Will Hunting"
Favorite place you have visited?
Boston - it´s a place that has started to feel like home since I first visited.
Vanilla or chocolate?
Cats or dogs?
I don´t have either, but I like both.
Beach or mountains?
Beach for relaxing - mountains for a grueling training session!
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Three things you would want to have on a deserted island?
Water, eggs & a boat with GPS.
What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?
What’s your favorite sport?
CrossFit to compete in, but I still love to watch gymnastics.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
That I love being in front of the camera - I would love to be an actress or a sports broadcaster!
What’s your favorite activity outside of the box?
Seeing my friends & family - I love having a good lunch with people.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A lawyer or a detective. I was a HUGE Law & Order and CSI fan when i was a kid.
If you could have one superhuman power, what would it be?
To fly .
If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy?
A really cute car.
If you were an animal what would you be?
My grandma always says I would be a deer, but I think a tiger is way cooler.
What’s the last book you have read?
"The Champion's Mind - How Great Athletes Think, Train & Thrive" by Jim Afremow. I have been really into the sport psychology books lately and so far this is the best one. Loved it and 100% recommend it!
What do you hate doing?
PACKING - that thing never gets easier.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
The people around me - I wouldn't be where I am or who I am without them.
